Andria
Andria, the most important town in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, in Puglia, boasts two of the most renowned traditional products in Italy: the Burrata IGP (Protected Geographical Indication); a fresh stretched curd cheese, similar to mozzarella, but with a much softer consistency and stringy, and extra virgin olive oil. The climatic conditions of the olive groves destined for production, in fact, make it possible to obtain from the Coratina cultivar "the gold of Andria, a product with specific and unique characteristics from a chemical-physical and sensorial point of view. But that's not all: the reason why Andria deserves to be experienced at least once in a lifetime lies in the treasure it holds: Castel del Monte, the mysterious symbol of all of Puglia, located on a hill just outside the town inside the Alta Murgia National Park, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
