Rimini
In the southern part of Emilia Romagna stands Rimini, famous for its beach resorts and discos, imprinted in the imagination of the Italians as a holiday destination par excellence. Ideal for a ride in the center together with a walk along the beach, this town has been the setting for many films, including some by Federico Fellini who, most of all, told about its life, landscapes and atmospheres, making it known worldwide. Even the heart of Rimini, however, preserves masterpieces of art, a legacy of the early Renaissance, when under the Malatesta, the Rimini court hosted artists such as Leon Battista Alberti, Piero della Francesca, Roberto Valturio and many others. Roman ruins are among the favorite attractions of tourists: the Arch of Augustus and the Tiberius Bridge, commissioned by the Emperor Augustus and the archaeological site of the 'Domus del Chirurgo', with an exceptional surgical-pharmaceutical kit, which has come intact to us from the Roman age. Also an absolute must-see is the medieval Piazza Cavour and the City Museum.
