Lying on the left bank of the Po river, elegant Cremona can also be recognized from above for its imposing Torrazzo, the symbol of the city and the highest brick tower in Europe. Walking through the refined streets of the center you can come across shops with an ancient charm, with invaluable musical instruments: Cremona is the “city of the violin”, the world capital of violin making, elevated to the status of a symbol of artistic craftsmanship, thanks to the work of the well-known Amati, Stradivari and Guarneri families. From the point of view of civil architecture, the monumental complex of Piazza del Comune is one of the most important Italian examples of medieval town planning. The Lombard-Romanesque cathedral is the reference point for religious architecture, while the buildings that adorn the center are home to museums and institutions. Palazzo Raimondi is another symbol of the city, home to the musical university and the International School of Lutherie, while Palazzo Affaitati houses the Civic Museum and the Stradivarian Museum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":13788,"template":"","class_list":["grid-item","post-8781","destinazione","type-destinazione","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
