The city of Brindisi, the capital of the Puglia region, has played an important commercial and cultural role, due to its position towards the East and its natural harbor overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It still has many attractions, starting from the Roman Columns, where the legendary Via Appia, which departed directly from Rome, ended. Being a seaside city, Brindisi has many fortifications, particularly evident in the presence of its two castles: the Swabian Castle, built at thre request by Frederick II, characterized by its large square towers and its trapeze-shaped layout, and the Alfonsino Castle of Brindisi, known as “Forte a Mare”, located on the Island of Sant’Andrea, at the outer harbor of the city. One of the most enjoyable things to do in Brindisi is breakfast at dawn: a great opportunity to immediately grasp the atmosphere of peace and serenity that is experienced, along with the fresh breeze brought in by the sea. The stop in Via Galanti, near the Professional Institute for Social Services, is right in the center of the city, between the pedestrian area, which leads directly to the sea, and the industrial area, home to important shopping centers, such as Decathlon and IperCoop.

["grid-item","post-9157","destinazione","type-destinazione","status-publish","hentry
